A Memorable Event Organized During Vesak.
Vesak Poya on 27th 2010 which fell on a Thursday was a very important and busy day for all the workers at
InterMedia Web and Jewel Qudsi.
A large scale alms-giving stall aka “Dansal” took place at Colombo – 03, the kind that is given during Vesak for the tired travelers was organized by the two companies and also with help by some others as well.
Although this is a general and common occurrence right round the country the significance of this particular event was that InterMedia Web, being a Catholic company and Jewel Qudsi being a Muslim company, joining hands to take part in this Buddhist celebration, irrespective of cast or religion.
As the blogger pointed out there the beauty lies in that it was done with such togetherness it was a real pleasure for those who experienced it.
